Information about the Guiting Festival organisation

The Guiting Music Festival, formally The Guiting Festival, was conceived nearly half a century ago with the first festival held in 1970.

The Guiting Festival is a registered charity (no. 1183151) and is run solely by unpaid volunteers. Its income is derived entirely from sponsorship, donations, advertising and ticket receipts. The Festival’s objective is to provide high quality music to as wide an audience as possible at an affordable cost.

The Festival is normally held in the last week of July each year and comprises several evening concerts, which are performed in the Guiting Power Village Hall. It also provides Sunday open-air concerts, which are held in the playing field behind the village hall. Dogs are welcome if kept on a lead. You are also welcome to bring a picnic,  delicious street food is also available to buy.

If you have any special needs/requirements, for instance wheel chair access, please let us know.

Most seating faces the stage but there are also some seats on the raised stage behind the musicians.

We love dogs! Bring your dog (kept on a lead) and a picnic and enjoy the beautiful view at our outdoor sunday Jazz and Blues concerts.
