Web Site Privacy Policies
Websites operated by The Guiting Festival
For legacy reasons, The Guiting Festival operates two website domains, "guitingfestival.org" and "guitingmusicfestival.org". The content of each is identical because any requests for web pages on the second domain are redirected automatically to the first by our servers.

recognises that respecting user privacy over the Internet is of utmost importance. This privacy statement is designed to provide information about the privacy and data collection practices for this site. The Site is operated by The Guiting Festival, Registered Charity No 1100808. If you have questions or concerns regarding this statement, you may contact our Webmaster or write to us at our registered office.
In general, you can visit the Site without telling us who you are or providing any information about yourself. In some areas of the Site, we ask you to provide information that will enable us to process an order (e.g. when buying tickets), offer services that require registration (e.g. when subscribing to newsletters), assist you with technical support issues or to follow up with you. Generally, The Guiting Festival may request identifying information when you:
- Register on our web site.
- Place an order.
- Provide feedback to an online survey or tell us about an idea or suggestion.
- Participate in a contest or other promotional offer.
- Request a special service.
- Request information or files from technical support or customer service.
In these instances, The Guiting Festival will ask for your name, address, e-mail address, phone number and other appropriate information needed to provide you with these services. In all instances, if you receive a newsletter or other mailing from us, you will always be able to "unsubscribe" to these mailings at any time.
What The Guiting Festival Will Do With Your InformationIf you choose to give us personal information for any of the purposes above, this information is retained by The Guiting Festival and will only be used by The Guiting Festival to support your customer relationship with us. We will not add you to a mailing list, or newsletter without your registration for this service. We will only contact you if further information is required from you to complete a service.
What Others May Do With Your InformationThe Guiting Festival does NOT share, rent, or sell any personally identifying information provided through our Site (such as your name or email address) to any outside organisation for use in its marketing or solicitations. The Guiting Festival may use agents or contractors who will have access to your personal information to perform services for The Guiting Festival (such as sending of emails, database maintenance, circulation of brochures and newsletters, etc). However, they are required by us to keep the information confidential and may not use it for any purpose other than to carry out the services for The Guiting Festival.
The Guiting Festival may share aggregate information about its customers and its web site visitors to advertisers, business partners, and other third parties. For example, we might share that x percent of our site visitors use a PC and y percent use a Smart Phone. However, NONE of this information will contain any personal or identifying information about those users.
Guiting Festival On-line Purchasing.
The Guiting Festival On-line Purchasing facility may require that you set up an account on the Site. This will allow you to have a customised order page for express ordering and to view your purchasing history. To protect your privacy, we have designed the Site to include certain steps to verify your identity before granting you access or enabling you to make amendments to your account information. You will always have access to this account information and can view it, update it or correct it at any time. To access your information, you will need to use a password.
When purchasing products through the Site, the order form may also ask you to provide a daytime telephone number. However, that telephone number would only be used to resolve problems that relate to an order, e.g. to clarify a customer's email address that is found to be inactive, or entered incorrectly.
Third Party Links
Guitingfestival.org provides links to other sites, including those external sites that handle ticket purchases on our behalf. Other Internet sites and services have separate privacy and data collection practices. Once you leave guitingfestival.org, The Guiting Festival does not control, and has no responsibility for, the privacy policies or data collection activities at another site.
