Information about the Guiting Festival organisation
The Guiting Music Festival, formally The Guiting Festival, was conceived nearly half a century ago with the first festival being held in 1970.
The Guiting Festival is a registered charity and is run solely by unpaid volunteers. Its income is derived entirely from sponsorship, donations, advertising and ticket receipts.
The Festival's objective is to provide high quality music to as wide an audience as possible at an affordable cost.
The Festival is normally held in the last week of July each year and comprises several evening concerts, which are performed in the
Guiting Power Village Hall. It also provides Sunday open-air concerts, which are held in the adjacent playing fields.
The 2017 Committee
As in all previous years, the Guiting Music Festival's Committee is comprised of unpaid volunteers.
